Pool Rentals

Gatewood Club is happy to include swimming events in the services we offer to our Residents & Pool Members. The Pool may be reserved for organizations or Non-Member rentals with a Member Sponsor.

Eligibility – Although we are a private club, we welcome the opportunity to create memorable events for members and non-members alike. Gatewood Club does require that all swimming events hosted by a non-member be sponsored by a bonafide Club member or receive approval by the Clubhouse Management or BOD.

Non-member rates will apply even if sponsored by a Member or Property Owner. Sponsors while attendance is not required for Pool Parties, are encouraged to be available at least by phone for the duration of the event, in case a need arises. Pool Party Sponsors will be held responsible for the conduct of guests and adherence to Club policies, Gatewood Pool policies as well as all SC DHEC Pool Rules, by guests. Sponsors will also be responsible for delinquent accounts.

Hosts are required to read Gatewood Club Pool Policy & Guidelines as well as to communicate and enforce these policies as needed to their guests.

Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. All reservations are subject to availability and approval by the Gatewood Clubhouse and Pool. All Pool Parties are required to be scheduled during the times specified for the event.

Upon receipt of the signed contract, reservations will be held for 14 days pending security deposit payment. If payment is not received, the contract will be voided, and the reservation released.

All Pool Parties are required to be booked a minimum of 3 weeks in advance to ensure staffing availability.

Facility Staff – All Pool Party Rentals are required to have a Pool Attendant or Life Guard serve for the duration of the event. That staff member will open the building and/or pool area, remain for the duration of the entire event, and secure the building/pool area (if applicable) after the event. The staff member will provide information and direction as needed and supervise swimmers. Additional staffing may be required depending on the size and nature of the event. The additional fee, per staff member is $25.00 per hour, beyond what is included in the rental fee, for each extra hour of the event when staff is needed.

All Pool Party Hosts are required to read and agree to the Gatewood Clubhouse Rental Policy as well as this policy

Cancellations by Gatewood Club due to weather conditions, pool closures, or other valid reasons will qualify for a full refund of the deposit or an offer to reschedule.

Cancellations by the Host fall under the same guidelines outlined in the Gatewood Clubhouse Rental Policy Agreement.

Pool Parties will not be booked on holidays, during Member Events, or other Private events.

Calhoun’s Lounge & Deck is included with all Pool Rentals to accommodate up to 30 guests. The room can be used for cake, food, and gifts.

One Lifeguard and/or Pool Attendant is required for every 15 guests swimming and is included in the rental price for up to 3 hours of supervised swimming. However, adults are still required to poolside to supervise as well.

Additional Pool Attendants/Lifeguards are $25.00 per hour.

Semi-Private Pool Parties

Property Owners – $275 / Members – $325 / Non-Members – $400 

The price does not include the Post-Event Cleaning Fee

  • Semi-private Pool Parties can accommodate up to 15 swimming guests.  
  • Semi-Private Pool Parties do NOT include exclusive use of the pool, it will still be open to Gatewood Residents and Members.
  • Reserved space on the Pool Desk ( near the wooden deck ) for swimming time ( pool chairs & tables not guaranteed ) of the event.
  • One Lifeguard and/or Pool Attendant is required for up to 15 guests swimming and is included in the rental price for up to 3 hours of supervised swimming. However, adults are still required to poolside to supervise as well.
  • Semi-Private Pool Parties may be booked Monday – Saturday 9:00Am – 12:00 Noon, Sunday -Thursday 5:00PM – 8:00PM

Private Pool Parties 

Property Owners – $375 / Members $425 / Non-Members $500

The price does not include the Post-Event Cleaning Fee

  • Available to rent only Monday or Tuesday evenings 6/1 – 8/15, unless renting with the Complete Clubhouse Rental Package.
  • After 8/15 rentals are available Sunday – Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00, subject to availability. Restrictions on dates may apply. Labor Day weekend is excluded from available dates.  
  • No more than 2 Private Pool Parties/Special Event Closures are to occur per month of our swimming season, regardless of the day.  Availability is not guaranteed until the deposit has been paid and the booking is finalized with a signed contract.  
  • One Lifeguard and/or Pool Attendant is required for up to 15 planned swimming guests and 2 staff members are included in the rental price for 2-3 hours of supervised swimming.  However, adults are still required to poolside to supervise as well.  
  • The pool will be closed to Members and Residents for the duration of the event.
  • Private parties can accommodate up to 50 swimming guests however staffing requirements apply.

Small Group Swimming Only Pool Parties   

  • Small Group Swimming Only Pool Parties can accommodate up to 12 swimming guests.  
  • Reserved space poolside (chairs & table not guaranteed) for the group.  
  • No kitchen or facility access, the only use of outside space. No tables may be brought in or set up.    
  • No decorations.  
  • Clean-up is still required for food, beverages, etc.  
  • Limited to Residents, Pool Members, and organizations with a Member Sponsor/Host onsite.  
  • One Lifeguard and/or Pool Attendant is required for up to 12 guests swimming and is included in the rental price for 2 hours of supervised swimming.  However, adults are still required to poolside to supervise as well.  
  • Rental includes 2 hours of Pool Staff member.  
  • Small Group Swimming only Pool Parties will not be booked on holidays, during Member Events, or at peak swimming times. 

Rates: $100 Property Owners/Residents, $150 Pool Members
