Tranquil Road Tree Project
The row of Leyland Cypress trees along Tranquil Road (as you exit the front entrance—turn right and the row of trees are along the right-hand side of the road), are within the 34’ right away that Duke Energy is afforded. They are close enough and could potentially adversely impact the Transmission Lines operated by Duke.
There are 17 trees in total, and they will need to be cut down. Wright Tree Service will be doing the work and they should begin around the end of July or early August. This will be a major and dramatic alteration to our appearance. There is a secondary buffer of shrubbery (Ligustrum plants) behind these trees that will still provide some privacy. We would imagine with these trees removed, it will foster faster growth of this secondary buffer.
