Pickleball

Free Pickleball lessons & play offered @ the Gatewood courts. Mon & Fri @ 8:30 am and Tues & Thur @ 6 pm. Families, couples and individuals are all welcome.
Paddles and balls provided. Wear tennis shoes.

So far 52 residents of Gatewood have begun playing pickleball. 15 guests have expressed interest in joining a pickleball club. During 13 organized sessions, there have been an average of 12.5 attendees.

If you haven’t already, please return the survey Donna emailed out regarding pickleball. Of the 53 surveys returned to date, 42 said someone in their household or a visiting guest would like the option to play pickleball in Gatewood. 43 expressed interest in seeing courts 11 and 12 renovated into permanent pickleball courts with an additional 3 saying maybe depending on the cost. The racquet sports committee is working on a plan to incorporate court allocation for pickleball in conjunction with our current member and high school tennis usage.
