Manager’s Report

Recently we have had a lot of discussions, opinions and meetings to discuss the integration of Pickleball into the Racquet Club’s operation and activities. Management wants to provide an update on a few decisions and developments made.

Hard Court #1 has been designated as a designated Pickleball Court NOW, until a long term solution can be achieved. Staff has installed the orange rubberized tape establishing 2 PB courts that can be used on Court #1. The nets will be placed and available to play at any time. This should provide our pickle-ball players designated courts allowing for their play. We will be purchasing an outdoor storage locker that can store the paddles and balls and place it out at the court. This way all necessary supplies are easily secured and available. These steps that have been made, should confirm that Pickleball is valued and the Long Term Solution – Staff, Management and the Racquet Committee are working together to obtain 3-4 options along with expected costs and time frames. The anticipated long term plan is to convert either Court 11 or 12 or both courts, to permanent Pickleball courts.

This analysis will be compiled and submitted to the Racquet Committee for their consideration and input. Our objective is to have this to submit to the Board at their October meeting. We all need to realize that contractors are currently very busy and it may be tough to obtain full proposals and firm pricing within this schedule. However, we will do our best. We welcome your feedback and recommend making those directly either to a member of the Racquet Committee or to Management.
