From Management
The Value of Good Landscaping
It is springtime and the azaleas and dogwoods have begun to bloom. This is a great time to allocate some extra time to spruce up our yards.
• Shrubs may need pruning followed by an application of fresh mulch in the landscaped beds.
• Trees may need to be limb up (raise the canopy). It is a good time to trim away limbs that are extending over roofs and gutters.
• Replace winter plantings with spring/ summer plantings.
• Lawn care – fertilizer and weed control.
• Landscaping provides visual interest, especially when it incorporates architectural elements like fountains, arbors, gazebos or fences.
Landscaping is a long-term investment in the community that rewards individual homeowners and the association as well.
Beavers
Every year we contract the services of Jimmy Reardon to help us deal with these pesky semi aquatic rodents. It is not unusual for him to catch one weighing in excess of 30-35 pounds. Residents have often had these animals causing damage to their ornamental trees and will contact Management for help. We also monitor their activity as they may hinder natural water flow with their dam building or create holes in the base of our dams.
