Clubhouse Committee

The grand opening of the bar at the clubhouse has been set – mark your calendars to be there to celebrate with us!

Friday, October 22 – 5PM “It’s 5:00 (AGAIN) in Gatewood”

In acknowledging the rich history we have in Gatewood we will be decorating the walls of the bar with historical pictures, newspaper articles, and memorabilia that will take us through the journey of how Gatewood traveled to where we are today! This will allow the residents that have been here for many years to reminisce while at the same time allow newcomers to see the process
of the property being developed to create our beautiful community.

It was the Mays’ family that developed the property so we will also be naming the clubhouse bar “Calhoun’s” to honor three generations of Mays’ men named Calhoun! If anyone has any pictures, etc. from back in the day, we would be very interested in making copies of them to add to our décor. Please contact us and we will be happy to make the arrangements.

Library – We are still looking for an end table, a couple of nice chairs, and a few bookshelves to get the Library started. We have had some donations of books and would love to have more of those also!

Upcoming Events – Please mark your calendars to attend our Murder Mystery Party at the Clubhouse on Friday, November 5 – more details to follow. Along with being a great night of fun, this is a fundraising event to assist us in purchasing items needed as we revitalize the clubhouse!
