Gatewood Closed Gate Survey

Please complete the online Gatewood resident survey to share your feedback on gate closure. The proposal is an implementation of closing the front and back gates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Brookfield Road Dredging

The Board has decided to engage additional contractors in order to continue and expand the Brookfield Road dredging project. In order to accomplish this major task, the lake will be lowered approximately six(6) feet from its current level. To accommodate this, we have already begun lowering the water in the lowerlake (Tall Pines Trail). The upper lake, once lowered, may be at this level for an extended period of time. We will be at the mercy of the Good Lord regarding future rainfall to enable the lake to refill to normal water level.

DEBRIS PICKUP TIPS

  • Place limbs at the street no greater than 6-8 feet in length and 10-12 inches in diameter
  • Lot clearing and professional tree removal debris shall be removed by the contractor, landscaping contractor, lawn care service, tree surgery company, property owner or person having the work done
  • Avoid placing debris piles under utility lines, fire hydrants, utility boxes, mailboxes, storm drain culverts and in the road
  • Do not mix leaves with limbs and other waste debris
  • Leaves, pine needles, pine cones, etc must be bagged

The County picks up yard debris the first day of each month. If you put your debris out after the first week of the month, it will sit there for 3-4 weeks before being picked up and this can detract from the beautiful neighborhood we live in. Management asks homeowners to try to consider this when you are doing yard work. If possible, please wait and place your yard debris out closer to the end of the month.
