SUMMARY:Race to Be Thankful
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a fun 5K run/walk through the beautiful Gatewood neighborhood on Thanksgiving Day!  This race features stunning autumn views passing the peaceful ponds and magnificent woods of Gatewood.  The course is paved and rolling in terrain with minimal traffic. All abilities and ages are welcome. Prizes will be given to the overall male and female runners\, overall masters male and female winner and to age group winners in 10 year increments. We offer terrific post race goodies for breakfast including hot coffee and hot chocolate.  Registration can be with or without a t shirt\, but sign up by November 8th to be guaranteed a shirt! We may have some additional ones for sale on race day\, but no guarantees.  We will have pre race packet pick up at The Church of the Resurrection 700 Main St S\, Greenwood\, SC on Wednesday November 23rd from 3-5pm as well as on race day starting at 7 am at the Gatewood Club. \n\n\n\nThis is our 6th year and this race is organized by the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection of Greenwood.  We donate all profits to local charities including the Greenwood Food Bank\, the Greenwood Soup Kitchen\, United Ministries\, Community Initiatives\, and Bowers Rogers Home.  \n\n\n\nPast results are located here:  https://sites.google.com/view/its-about-time/results?authuser=0 \n\n\n\nRegistration ends November 20\, 2022 at 11:59pm EST \n\n\n\nhttps://runsignup.com/Race/SC/Greenwood/ThanksgivingDayRacetoBeThankful \n\n\n\nIf you have any questions about this race\, please contact the race director at kimjer100@gmail.com
